Future Treatments

We intend to use and develop cell and tissue regenerative therapy protocols, primarily involving a patient's own (autologous) adult stem cells (non-embryonic), to allow patients to undergo cellular-based treatment. Our goal is to focus on personalized, patient-specific treatment programs that provide for additional or follow-up therapies, patient outcomes monitoring, and the analysis of relevant medical data, carefully monitoring the patient’s response and satisfaction.

Regenerative cell therapy relies on replacing diseased, damaged or dysfunctional cells with healthy, functioning ones or repairing damaged or diseased tissue. A great range of cells can serve in cell therapy, including cells found in peripheral and umbilical cord blood, bone marrow and adipose (fat) tissue. Physicians have been using adult stem cells from bone marrow to treat various blood cancers for over 40 years. Recently, the use of stem cells has begun to be used to treat various other diseases.

Our concentration, initially, will be in therapeutic areas where risk to the patient is low, recovery is relatively easy, and where (i) results can be demonstrated through sufficient clinical data; (ii) patients and referring doctors will be comfortable with the procedure; and (iii) recovery, monitoring, patient follow-up and data collection/analysis is far less complicated than more invasive protocols. We believe that there will be readily identifiable groups of patients who will benefit from these procedures.
